The edition matters
A film may be offered in different editions across services. Look at the quality shown beside the actual viewing offer. The poster, release year and size of the backdrop on Solarmovies do not identify the resolution of a stream.
- HD and 1080p
- HD commonly includes 720p and 1080p. A stable, well-encoded version can look good without forcing the highest available setting.
- 4K
- Consumer 4K usually describes a 3840-by-2160 image. Availability can depend on the title, plan, application and screen.
- HDR
- High dynamic range concerns the image's tonal and colour presentation. It is not simply another name for 4K.
When a picture keeps changing
Automatic quality may respond to a changing connection. If playback keeps stopping, try a lower setting in the destination's player and observe whether that helps. If the connection is stable but the picture remains unexpectedly soft, confirm the edition and device support before changing television picture controls.
A practical choice for mobile
Consider data use and battery as well as sharpness. A small screen may not benefit from the same setting you would choose for a large television. For persistent interruptions, use playback help rather than changing several unrelated settings together.
